It’s no secret that the Faroe Islands hold a special place in my heart. Since 2013, I’ve visited the archipelago fourteen times, exploring it extensively from island to island. While there are still a few corners I’ve yet to see (I like to leave something for the future), I’ve covered most of the islands – 17 out of 18, to be exact – and climbed 65 of its 340 mountains. So, I feel well-equipped to offer a helpful guide for anyone planning their first trip to the Faroes – or for those returning to uncover more after a previous visit.
In this guide, I’ll share what I believe are the best tours available – ones that either maximize how much beauty you can experience in a short time or take you to remote places that are otherwise hard to reach. Whether you’re looking for a fully planned multi-day itinerary with all the must-see spots, a few well-chosen day tours, or just a special experience to complement your more independent travels, there’s something here for you. And if you’re short on time, these recommendations will help you make the most of your visit.
