I got my first brief taste of Slovenia during a summer roadtrip through Europe in 2013 when my family and I drove through the country en route to Croatia. To me, Slovenia looked like a magical fairytale country. I swore I’d come back.
And in March 2018, I finally did. My mum and I chose Slovenia for our annual mother/daughter trip and spent four days in the beautiful snow-covered country. We based ourselves in Ljubljana and took day trips out to some of Slovenia’s many spectacular nature spots. We hiked around the enchanting Lake Bled, took a ski lift above Lake Bohinj to Vogel up high in the mountains and spent hours exploring the enormous Škocjan Caves.
Slovenia lived up to my expectations and beyond! It truly is nothing short of a fairytale country!
