I will be honest, I never thought I’d return to Paris after my first visit in 2012. As…

France was one of the first countries that I visited, on a family trip to Disneyland Paris. Unfortunately, I can’t remember a lot from that trip, but I’m sure it was a lot of fun for mini-me!
Ten years later, I travelled by bus to Paris with three friends on my first ever trip without my parents or grandmother. We spent a week in the city, exploring the Catacombs, eating lunch by the Eiffel Tower, seeing Notre Dame, shopping on Champs-Élysées and enjoying the view of the city from Sacre Coeur. I really enjoyed this trip and my new-found freedom to go on trips with friends (next stop, solo travel!).
And solo travel I did. I returned to France in 2019 during a solo journey through Southern Europe. My stop in France was short, in fact I only had an afternoon to explore Nice. The reason behind this was that I wanted to explore Monaco and I used Nice as my base. Thankfully, I found a few hours to explore Nice, a city I came to enjoy much more than Monaco. If only I’d had more time!
In May 2024, I returned to Paris for a six-day visit. My reason for going was mainly to attend the first night of the European leg of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour (I was there, it was rare… and legendary!). But I also found time to meet up with a friend I used to live with in Greenland, and two friends I excavated with in Alaska. Together with my friends, I explored the city and saw lots of new places and revisited old favourites!
