In August 2016, at 21 years old, I took a leap and moved to Copenhagen to study prehistoric archaeology. Three years later, I completed my Bachelor’s degree – an incredible journey that took me far beyond the classroom. Along the way, I spent two semesters in Greenland, wrote my thesis in the Faroe Islands, and held summer jobs in both Peru and Russia. It was an adventurous and formative chapter that shaped both my academic path and my passion for exploring the past in every corner of the world.
After completing my Bachelor’s degree, I decided to take a break from studying to gain hands-on work experience. That decision led me to some incredible opportunities – two years based on the Danish island of Lolland, two consecutive summers working on a project in Serbia, and an unforgettable excavation in Slovakia.
In January 2023, I took the next step in my academic journey and moved to Aberdeen, Scotland, to study for a Master of Science in Archaeology of the North. Afterwards, in 2024, I moved to Thisted in northwest Denmark for a year of excavation work.
For me, archaeology is the perfect blend of my two greatest passions: exploring the past and travelling the world. It feels only natural to share stories from excavations, conferences, field trips, and gatherings right here on the blog – because each experience adds a new layer to the journey.
