Sunset over Norsminde Harbour

I’ve said it many times before and I’ll say it again – I absolutely love Eastern Jutland. It’s the place where I grew up and also a place that I spent most of my life wanting to get away from. But ever since I started travelling all over the world, I’ve realized just how amazing my birth place is. Especially during the summer time. I also realized that I need to spend more time in Eastern Jutland; there’s plenty to be explored.

But it is really hard to find time to explore Eastern Jutland in between worldwide travels and studying, which takes up so much of my time. You may have noticed that I’ve been almost absent from the blog this month, but that’s because I’ve been waaaay too busy with exams.

Right now, I’m studying for my last exam on June 6th, but thankfully, I found some time this evening to go on a short evening trip to Norsminde to see the sunset with my parents and grandmother.

Norsminde is a beautiful and interesting place with history that reaches back to the Kongemose Culture, a hunter/gatherer culture that inhabited Denmark 8,500 years ago.

We didn’t spend long in Norsminde, just enough time to catch the sunset by the quaint harbour. The area is actually great for hiking, but we only had time to take a quick walk out to the ocean. One day, I’ll return to explore more of the area.

Only five more days to go and I’ll be free – free to explore Denmark and the rest of the world <3
