As of May 2025, I've visited 88 countries and territories on 6 continents.
Country counting can be a complex topic, and everyone has their own approach. Here’s mine: I count all sovereign states (like Canada), autonomous territories (like Greenland), exclaves (like Melilla), pene-exclaves (like Jungholz), and autonomous regions requiring special permits (like the GBAO in Tajikistan). For me, visiting a country or territory means stepping outside the airport or station to experience something - even if just for a few hours. As long as I’ve engaged with the place beyond a transit hub, it counts. That said, I always prefer to spend more time and truly get to know a destination when I can. Country counting is simply a fun hobby for me - I love lists, and this one keeps me inspired to explore lesser-visited places, especially autonomous areas and geographic oddities.
Below is a list of all the incredible places I’ve had the privilege of visiting. The number in parentheses indicates how many times I’ve been there.
