During a family vacation in northern Spain in the summer of 2015, we decided to take a day trip to the tiny country of Andorra to celebrate my parents’ silver wedding anniversary. The idea was mine – visiting this little Pyrenean nation had long been a dream of mine.
Andorra is very small, so we managed to see quite a lot in just one day. We explored the capital, visited charming countryside churches, and even fit in a short hike to a stunning mountain lake.
As I had hoped, Andorra’s natural beauty left me speechless. The dramatic landscapes were absolutely breathtaking. Still, one day was only enough to get a glimpse of what this fascinating microstate has to offer – I’ve been wanting to return ever since.
