Life is too short to wait around for other people! That’s why I decided to start travelling solo in 2015 – and I haven’t looked back since.
As scary as it may seem at first, more and more women are experiencing what the world has to offer by themselves, and we love it! It gives the best sense of freedom, we’re able to choose exactly what we want to do and when we want to do it, and it makes meeting other likeminded travellers so much easier!
Travelling solo as a woman is not as dangerous as many people believe. Unfortunately, because of our gender (or really, it’s because of the male gender…), we have to take precautions everywhere we go, but that includes our own hometown. And it doesn’t mean we should quit our dreams and stay at home. The world is a beautiful place, and it is not as scary as you might think!
