I first visited the Czech Republic as a six-year-old with my family. I don’t remember much from this trip, except that we stayed somewhere outside of Prague and spent a day in the city where I remember meeting a guy with an eagle. It took me 20 years to visit the country again – not because I didn’t want to earlier, I’d just never gotten around to it. My 2021 visit was very short and sweet though as I only spent a night in Brno en route to Serbia.
2022 was the year when I finally got to know Czech Republic a little better. I spent four days in the beautiful city of Děčín in Bohemian Switzerland and fell in love with the city. A few months later, I returned with my travel buddy for a week during our Central Europe summer trip. We visited his friends in Prague, fell in love with the cultural heritage of Kutná Hora and explored Brno!
In August 2024, I returned to Bohemian Switzerland along with some family members. We based ourselves in Děčín and spent two days exploring the beautiful region by car and foot.
