In August 2016, 21 years old, I flew the nest and moved to Copenhagen to study prehistoric archaeology. Fast forward three years, and I finished my Bachelor’s degree after spending two of my semesters in Greenland, writing my thesis in the Faroe Islands and working summer jobs in Peru and Russia!
I decided to take a break after my BA to get some work experience, which brought me to the Danish island of Lolland where I was based for two years, to a project in Serbia two years in a row and to a summer excavation in Slovakia!
In January 2023, I made the move to Aberdeen in Scotland to continue my studies, a Master of Science in Archaeology of the North!
To me, archaeology is the perfect combination of my two biggest passions – our exciting past and travelling, and it’s only natural for me to share stories from my excavations, conferences, field trips and gatherings around the world right here on the blog!
