I'm a 29-year-old Danish/English archaeologist with an ardent passion for exploring the north. From the Faroe Islands to Greenland to Scotland to Scandinavia, the north is where I feel at home and where I feel the most inspired. I do sometimes go astray and travel south, east or west, but I always find my way back north. In September 2023, I adopted my little dog, Minnie, from Romania, and she is now my favourite travel buddy 🤎 We love being on the road and exploring lesser known places together. Now pack your virtual backpack and come along on this never-ending journey with us!

The feeling of freedom 🥳 I finished my disserta

The feeling of freedom 🥳
I finished my dissertation a week ago and handed in the mandatory physical copies today. That means I'm officially done studying and will soon become a Master of Science in Archaeology of the North! 🤎

So what now? If you'd asked me a month ago, I would've said I'm staying in Aberdeen or at least Scotland. But I have just been offered a dream job as an excavator at Museum Thy in Denmark that I just simply couldn't say no to. So in two weeks, this little bundle of fluff and I are packing up all our stuff and taking the long overland journey back to Denmark once again, but this time to stay.

I'm sad to leave Aberdeen and all the wonderful people I've met here behind, but I'm also excited to see what Thy has in store for us. It's a region of Denmark I've barely explored but that will definitely change soon 👣

It's hard to believe that my Master's studies are

It's hard to believe that my Master's studies are coming to an end. I had my last lecture yesterday, so now only two essays and a dissertation remain!

These pictures are from some of my favourite moments in November, a month that went by waaay too fast.

Now, Minnie and I are on a three-day journey through five countries, to get home for Christmas. Denmark is covered in a blanket of snow at the moment, so I Minnie will soon experience her first snow! And she'll finally get to meet my family 🥰

St Andrews was absolutely incredible and is a must-see if you're ever in the Dundee area. Dundee, on the other hand, is skippable. But at least they know how to properly advertise the queen (last slide) 😂🥳
